BOARD
The Board of the SUITSUIT Foundation consists of Celia Schmitz, Chair, Jan-Willem de Muinck Keizer, Secretary, and Emile Vijlbrief, Treasurer. Together, they are responsible for sound financial and general governance and for advancing the Foundation’s mission and objectives.
The Board’s main responsibilities include:
- governing the Foundation and championing its mission and vision;
- preparing the annual budget;
- adopting and approving the annual accounts;
- managing and allocating the available funds;
- maintaining relationships with donors and the Advisory Council;
- setting up and coordinating activities;
- involving volunteers;
- communications, spokesperson duties and public relations.
The Board members serve the SUITSUIT Foundation on a voluntary basis. They receive attendance fees for their work. Reasonable travel, accommodation and administrative expenses are reimbursed.

ADVISORY COUNCIL
The Advisory Council supports the Board with its knowledge, experience and advice. The Council consists of Nina van Rijn (independent consultant in social and economic sustainability), Renée de Bruin (Strategic Marketer at SUITSUIT) and Lisa Vogel (Marketing and Sustainability Communications at SUITSUIT).
The Advisory Council advises the Board, either at its request or on its own initiative, on:
- achieving the Foundation’s objectives;
- the projects and initiatives supported by the Foundation;
- other matters relevant to the Foundation.
The members of the Advisory Council serve on a voluntary basis. They may receive an allowance up to the maximum permitted under Dutch tax rules for volunteers. Reasonable travel and accommodation expenses are reimbursed with the prior approval of the Board.
VOLUNTEERS
The Board may involve volunteers in the Foundation’s operational activities. They may receive an allowance up to the maximum permitted under Dutch tax rules for volunteers. Reasonable travel and accommodation expenses are reimbursed with the prior approval of the Board.
