BOARD

Celia Schmitz is our chair and director, supported by Jan-Willem de Muinck Keizer, who also serves as secretary, and Emile Vijlbrief, who acts as treasurer. As board members, they are responsible for maintaining sound financial and general policies. Their duties include, among others: •

Preparing the annual budget;

• Establishing and approving the annual accounts each year;
• Managing the funds;
• Allocating funds and creating provisions.
• Managing the foundation;
• Promoting our mission and vision;
• Maintaining contact with donors;
• Keeping close contact with the advisory council;
• Setting up and coordinating activities for the foundation;
• Recruiting volunteers;
• Handling communications and public relations;
• Managing all financial activities.

The board members volunteer their time for the SUITSUIT Foundation. For their work, board members receive attendance fees. Reasonable travel, accommodation, and administrative costs incurred are reimbursed.

ADVISORY COUNCIL

The SUITSUIT Foundation has an Advisory Council. This council includes Annabel Stroomer (Sustainability Manager at SUITSUIT), Nina van Rijn (independent Consultant for Socio-Economic Sustainability), and Renee de Bruin (Strategic Marketer at SUITSUIT), who actively support the board. The council advises the foundation's board, either upon request or on its own initiative, regarding: 

  • Achieving the Foundation's objectives; 
  • The goals supported by the Foundation; 
  • Any other matters that the board or Advisory Council considers relevant. 

    Members of the Advisory Council volunteer their time for the Foundation. They receive a maximum compensation as per the applicable volunteer reimbursement rate, in accordance with the fiscal volunteer regulation. Reasonable travel and accommodation costs will be reimbursed with prior approval from the board.

VOLUNTEERS

At the initiative of the board, volunteers are engaged to support the operational activities of the foundation.

Volunteers participate on a voluntary basis. They receive a maximum volunteer allowance in accordance with the applicable volunteer tax scheme. Reasonable travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed with prior approval from the board.
